Pine Tar Salve is created using moisturizing extra virgin olive oil is infused with organic plantain and comfrey leaves. The astringent properties in plantain and comfrey will work to “draw” out splinters, stingers, impurities, as well as emollient properties to soothe skin conditions. In our home we also put it on tick bites, especially where the head broke off to help draw it out more quickly.
Sustainable activated bamboo charcoal and bentonite clay draw out impurities for many skin conditions.
Pine Tar Salve is also known as “Black Salve” or “Drawing Salve.”
Pine tar is traditionally used for many skin conditions, including drawing, but it does give this salve a kind of smoky, yet somehow pleasant scent.
